The workshop brought together business leaders to discuss family business governance and the structures needed to build sustainable businesses that can grow beyond their founders.
During the discussion, Roger shared his perspective on the importance of establishing effective boards, clearly defining leadership roles, and reducing key-person risk in founder-led businesses.
He emphasized that good governance should go beyond compliance. When properly structured, it can serve as a strategic tool for improving decision-making, strengthening accountability, and supporting long-term business growth.
Roger also highlighted that the strength of a board is not determined simply by the prominence of its members, but by having engaged individuals who bring independent perspectives and constructive guidance.
